“I’m committed to helping leaders navigate the interpersonal challenges and opportunities of leadership through a confidential, no-judgment approach.”
Tom Patterson is an executive coach, working with individuals and groups in leadership development, and training groups in achieving high-level collaboration. He has facilitated trainings in numerous Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. A former Presbyterian pastor, Tom has extensive experience working with healthy, unhealthy, functional and dysfunctional teams. His experience has also provided him with a deep understanding of the emotional processes in the workplace, and how to frame them in a way that makes them more navigable. Tom’s coaching is positively-oriented, focusing less on problems, and more on preferred futures and outcomes. He believes most of us are already pretty good at beating ourselves up, but often not as practiced at thinking about our futures more hopefully.
Tom holds a B.A. in Psychology from San Diego State University, a Master’s in Theology from the University of Dubuque, and a Doctorate in Theology and Postmodern Culture from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is also a graduate of the Seattle Coach Training Program, a certified facilitator for Situational Leadership from the Center for Leadership Studies, and a Senior Facilitator for The Energy Project.
